Pictures at the Rose Garden

We entered Ryleigh in a "What are my favorite things" photo contest and her dimples won a photo session with a local photographer. We took the pictures at the Portland rose gardens. The day was overcast, but not hot or rainy. So basically it was just perfect! Ryleigh really loved grabbing at all the pretty roses (keep in mind that it is illegal to pick flowers in the rose garden) Ooops!

11 Months Old

Yet again, another month has passed. I really don't know where the time goes. This is my last week staying home with Ryleigh part time. I go back to work in the office full time. It hurts my heart to not spend those extra days with her, but it is what is best for our family right now. I know Ryleigh is happy at daycare so that makes it a little easier.

On a more happier note, we are planning Ryleigh's 1st Birthday. We will be celebrating on the 4th of July!! It is hard to believe that she is almost 1 year old.

Things Ryleigh is doing now:
~ She is in full crawl mode getting around and into everything!
~Pulling herself up to stand. Really loves standing. Not walking yet, but likes to tip toe around the house with help
~Sleep training...working on self soothing and it is going very well. We probably should have started this a lot sooner, but I will never admit that! Daycare even has noticed how easy she takes naps during the day too.
~ She has her 1st tooth. It is not her lower or even front upper, but it is her upper lateral incisor (vampire fang). You can see the second fang coming in as well, but it has not broken thru.
~Trying new finger foods. She is not a fan of picking up small pieces of fruits or veggies...she will just crush them. I think it is the texture. She loves breads, puffs and french fries, lunch meat, salmon and pickles
~Likes to snort and crinkle her nose
~Major Daddy's girl!! She will push me away when he is nearby so he can hold her.

She loves following and playing with Samson (Fur Brother)

Mom Says "Ryleigh, be nice to Samson"....Ryleigh says "Who me? Could this face really do anything wrong"

Samson says "Hey, while you sitting there...how about you rub my belly"
