Unexpected Debut

On Tuesday June 28th (29 weeks 6 days pregnant), I began feeling some small stomach cramping though out the day. I figured it must just be Braxton Hicks contractions and continued to ignore them. By 11pm that evening the pain was getting really uncomfortable so David and I took a trip to the hospital. That evening I was admitted to the hospital and given many medications to stop the contractions that I was experiancing.

The next morning I was dialated to 1 centimeters and the doctors were concerend I would deliver early. I was taken by ambulance to a hospital with better care for perterm babies.

Things started getting better and the contractions began to go away and on July 1st the doctor said that the next day i would be going home on bed rest.

Around 11pm that evening I started feeling the contractions again. They slowly became stronger and stronger and by 2Am on July 2nd I had given birth to Ryleigh Elizabeth Adams.

Born after only 30 weeks and 4 days, Ryleigh is very small ( 3 lbs, 9 ounces and 16.5 inches long), but she is doing well and has a very good recovery rate. Right now we just have to wait and let her get stronger.
